Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100

The Embraer Phenom 100 is a very light jet built to compete directly with Cessna's Citation Mustang in the entry-level personal-jet market, offering single-pilot-certified jet speed at a relatively low purchase price. Its cabin, unusually wide for such a small jet, borrows styling cues from Embraer's larger airliners rather than typical light-jet interiors. It became a popular choice for owner-pilots stepping up from turboprops and for air-taxi operators running short regional jet routes. Its success helped Embraer establish a genuine foothold in the business-jet market alongside its long-running airliner business.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Embraer, the EMB-500 Phenom 100 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
