Direct Fly Alto
The Direct Fly Alto is a Czech light-sport aircraft introduced in 2008, built from riveted aluminum sheet rather than the composite or fabric construction common among its ultralight rivals. Its low, cantilever wing spans just 8.1 metres, giving it crisp handling for a two-seat trainer, and buyers could specify fixed tricycle or conventional tailwheel gear. The original ALTO 912 TG stayed in production until 2022, when Direct Fly replaced it with the updated ALTO NG. More than 200 examples now fly across a dozen certifying countries, including Germany, France, Turkey, the United States and Canada, making it one of the more widely exported Czech ultralights.

Among fabric and composite ultralights, the Alto's riveted all-metal skin and low wing set it apart.
