Dassault Falcon 20

The Dassault Falcon 20 was the first business jet designed and built by Dassault, and it helped establish the French manufacturer in the corporate-aviation market. Pan American ordered it for its corporate-jet subsidiary, leading to the American name Fan Jet Falcon. The US Coast Guard later adapted the type for long-range surveillance and search missions as the HU-25 Guardian. Its success proved that Dassault’s fighter-aircraft experience could translate into a commercially viable business jet.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Dassault Falcon 20 starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Dassault, the Falcon 20 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
