Cub Crafters CC-19 XCub

The CubCrafters XCub was developed in secret over six years and only revealed once the FAA had already certified it, in 2016, a deliberate break from the company's earlier Carbon Cub kit line. Unlike many backcountry taildraggers optimised purely for short-field performance, the XCub pairs 31-inch tundra tires, wing vortex generators, and a rugged steel spring gear with a genuinely fast cruise and long range, so owners can fly cross-country and still land on a gravel bar. Extensive carbon-fibre construction keeps it light despite all that rugged equipment, making it one of the most capable factory-built bush planes on the market.
