Chengdu F-10
The Chengdu J-10 is a Chinese multirole fighter with a delta wing and close-coupled canards, a layout that gives strong agility at high angles of attack. It became the first modern indigenous Chinese fighter produced in large numbers for frontline service. The J-10C adds an active electronically scanned radar and improved missiles, while the aircraft has also become familiar through China’s August 1st aerobatic team. Its canard-delta shape makes it easy to distinguish from China’s Russian-derived fighters.

Did you know?
The J-10's canard-delta silhouette, with small foreplanes ahead of the wing, sets it apart from China's older Russian-derived fighter designs.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Chengdu F-10 starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Chengdu, the F-10 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
