Changhe WZ-10
The Changhe Z-10 is China's first purpose-built dedicated attack helicopter, developed to give the People's Liberation Army a modern anti-tank and close-support helicopter broadly comparable in role to the American AH-64 Apache. Its narrow fuselage and tandem cockpit, with the gunner seated ahead of the pilot, follow the same layout convention used by most Western attack helicopters for similar aerodynamic and target-profile reasons. International sanctions on China during its early development forced designers to source some systems, including engines, from multiple countries before settling on domestic alternatives. It now equips Chinese army aviation brigades in growing numbers.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Changhe WZ-10 starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Changhe, the WZ-10 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
