Cessna T206 Stationair TC

The Cessna T206 Turbo Stationair adds a turbocharger to the standard fixed-gear 206, maintaining sea-level engine power well into altitudes where the normally aspirated Stationair starts losing performance. Its large cargo door and high useful load, inherited from the standard 206, make it a favourite for skydiving operations, remote cargo hauling, and float-plane conversions. Turbocharging extends its usefulness into mountainous and hot-and-high operating environments the standard 206 struggles with. It remains one of the most common utility singles worldwide, valued for combining real cargo capacity with genuine high-altitude capability.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Cessna T206 Stationair TC starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Cessna, the T206 Stationair TC family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
