Cessna 205
The Cessna 205 is a six-seat, fixed-gear single built on a stretched Cessna 182 airframe, offering more cabin space and payload than the standard four-seat Skylane without the complexity of retractable landing gear. Its simple, fixed-gear design kept maintenance and insurance costs lower than the retractable-gear 210 it's closely related to, while still carrying a full load of passengers and baggage. Cessna produced it for only a few years before folding its improvements into later 206 and 210 models. It remains a comparatively uncommon type today, overshadowed by its more numerous stablemates.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Cessna 205 starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Cessna, the 205 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
