Cessna 195
The Cessna 195 was the more powerful version of the 190, fitted with a large Jacobs radial engine. It became popular as a bush and executive aircraft because it could carry a heavy load into short strips. The big round cowling and tailwheel make it look unlike later Cessnas.

Did you know?
The 195 shares the 190's rounded airframe almost exactly; only its larger Jacobs radial engine underneath really gives the two away.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Cessna 195 starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Cessna, the 195 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
