Cessna 152
The Cessna 152 is a small, two-seat trainer aircraft, essentially a refined update of the earlier Cessna 150 with a slightly more powerful engine. Alongside the larger four-seat Cessna 172, it became one of the standard aircraft used to train new pilots at flight schools worldwide. Its simple, forgiving handling makes it well suited to first-time students learning the basics of flight. Thousands remain in active use at flight schools today, decades after production ended.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Cessna 152 starts as a Common catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Cessna, the 152 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
