Best Off Sky Ranger

The Skyranger is a French-designed, high-wing two-seat ultralight of fabric-covered tubular construction, built by Best Off since its introduction in 1990. Its simple tricycle undercarriage and straight aluminium-tube airframe, proven over thousands of flight hours, made it one of the most widely built kit ultralights in Europe, with roughly 900 completed. Engine choices range from a basic 50 hp Rotax 503 two-stroke up to the 100 hp Rotax 912 ULS four-stroke, letting builders trade simplicity for performance. The type has won six World Ultralight Championships while remaining, by design, easy to build and easy to fly.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Best Off Sky Ranger starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Best Off, the Sky Ranger family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
