Bell 206LT TwinRanger

The Bell 206LT TwinRanger paired the familiar Bell 206 JetRanger airframe with two engines instead of one, adding the safety margin of twin-engine redundancy for operators flying over water, mountains, or congested cities. It never achieved the enormous production numbers of its single-engine JetRanger and LongRanger relatives, remaining a comparatively uncommon variant. Its twin-engine layout appealed particularly to offshore and emergency medical operators bound by regulations requiring engine-out safety margins. Bell eventually shifted its light-twin efforts toward the newer 429, and TwinRanger production ended after a relatively short run.
