Beech 88 Queen Air

The Beechcraft Queen Air 88 was a later, more capable version of the Queen Air family, with a larger cabin and more powerful engines. It filled the gap between light piston twins and the turboprop King Air, serving corporate, commuter, and medical operators. Its long fuselage and broad cabin made it unusually spacious for a piston twin. The 88’s relative rarity reflects the market’s rapid shift toward the newer King Air after turboprop technology became affordable.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Beech 88 Queen Air starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Beech, the 88 Queen Air family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
