Beech 45 Mentor
The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor was a military trainer derived from the famous Bonanza but redesigned with a tandem cockpit and stronger structure. Piston-powered T-34As and Bs trained thousands of pilots before turboprop Mentors took over. Its Bonanza ancestry is visible in the straight tail and clean low-wing shape.

The turboprop T-34C Turbo Mentor remained the US Navy's primary flight trainer until the T-6 Texan II replaced it in the 2000s.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Beech 45 Mentor starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Beech, the 45 Mentor family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
