Arv ARV-1 Super 2
The ARV-1 Super 2 is a British two-seat shoulder-wing light aircraft backed by land-speed-record holder Richard Noble and first flown in 1985. Its fuselage is a stiff monocoque moulded from Bricor Supral superplastic aluminium, a technique that gave it an empty weight 40 percent lower than a Cessna 152. The original powerplant was the 49 kg Hewland AE75, a water-cooled two-stroke three-cylinder designed specifically for this aircraft. After the Isle of Wight factory closed, the type was revived as the Opus Super 2, receiving FAA Light-Sport certification in 2008.
