Akrotech Europe CAP-232
The CAP 232 was the final refinement of a Mudry aerobatic lineage stretching back through the CAP 230 and CAP 21, first flown in July 1994 after Avions Mudry developed its own carbon-fibre wing spar. Combining a light, strong wooden fuselage with that new carbon wing, it can roll at more than 420 degrees per second and climb at over 3,300 feet per minute on its 300-horsepower Lycoming AEIO-540. The results speak for themselves: it took second place at the 1996 World Aerobatic Championships and has since amassed more world championship titles than any other single aerobatic aircraft design.
