Airlony Skylane
The AirLony Skylane is a Czech two-seat microlight from Stetí that first flew in 2005, deliberately styled after the far larger four-seat Cessna 182 Skylane it is nicknamed after; the manufacturer itself calls it "a small Cessna." Beneath the resemblance it is a lighter, simpler aircraft: a wood-and-composite, strut-braced high wing over a composite fuselage, powered by a Rotax 912 engine and seating two side by side under yoke controls. The Skylane's appeal lies precisely in that contrast, offering hobby pilots a full-scale-feeling cabin and control layout in an ultralight-class airframe well below the weight of the type it echoes.
