Air Tractor AT-502

The Air Tractor AT-502 is a single-seat agricultural aircraft, built specifically for crop-dusting and aerial spraying over farmland. Its large hopper tank, mounted ahead of the cockpit, can carry hundreds of gallons of liquid or dry chemical to spread over fields in a single pass. A rugged, simple turboprop design keeps it reliable for the repetitive low-altitude flying agricultural work demands. Aircraft like it are also frequently adapted for aerial firefighting, dropping water or retardant instead of farm chemicals.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Air Tractor AT-502 starts as a Very rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Air Tractor, the AT-502 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
