Ada LCA Tejas
The HAL Tejas is India’s indigenous light combat aircraft, created to replace older MiG-21 fighters and build domestic aerospace capability. Its small delta wing, composite structure, and fly-by-wire controls give it a modern multirole-fighter layout. Development was long and difficult, but the Tejas entered Indian Air Force service and has continued to evolve through improved Mk 1A versions. The programme is a major milestone for India because so much of the design and production is domestic.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Ada LCA Tejas starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Ada, the LCA Tejas family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
